Land’s End is located on Treasure Island at the end of a peninsula and is surrounded on 3 sides by water; the Intracoastal Waterway to the east, a pass to the south and the Gulf of Mexico to the west. This community is loaded with amenities to keep anyone entertained! Large, heated pool, 2 hot tubs, sand volleyball court, tennis and pickleball courts, charcoal grills and gazebo area for your outside dining nights, a boardwalk that wraps around the community for your morning exercise, shuffle board, direct beach access and all within this beautifully landscaped community. Land’s End is approximately 3.5 miles South of John’s Pass Village on Madeira Beach which is filled with shopping, restaurants, water activities and entertainment for all. Feel like riding some roller coasters while in town? Busch Gardens in Tampa is only an hour drive away or hit the Disney parks and all the other Orlando attractions within 2 hours.   It's been the third time that we have been at a Land's End Condo. The location is perfect. Perhaps it might be too quiet for some people, we enjoyed it very much. A nice big pool and a hot tub and the beautiful beach right next door, which were definitely not "overcrowded". The condo was very spacious with a nice westerly view towards the Pool and the sunset just over the beach. The only things we would like to mention is that the kitchen appliances were a little bit out of date and the balcony needed some cleaning and repairing.

    Thanks so much for the post! This condo is located in building #1 at Land's End and there are 2 different view categories from that building, Bay view or Gulf view. This unit in particular is a Gulf view facing unit, meaning you can see the Gulf of Mexico in the distance vs. the Intracoastal Waterway (bay view) from your balcony. Should you want to see the Intracoastal Waterway from your balcony during your next visit, the condos that we have that state "Bay View" will be the ones to look for. We also have a floor plan tour of each condo in our program and on the floor plan tours you can “virtually” walk out onto the balcony of each unit and see just what your view will be. We have a number of condos in our inventory that carry a designation called "premier status" and those units will have the recent updates to the kitchen, bathrooms and they will also have newer furnishing, flooring, appliances and flat screen TV's. Just wanted to point out the differences so that you can choose exactly what you are looking for for your next visit! :-)

  Land's End is a beautiful piece of property, located just a short walk across the boardwalk to the pristine beach. The property is quite, but there is lots to do. Beach, pool, volleyball, shuffle board, and walks around the whole property on the boardwalk.

  Have stayed at Lands End 4 of last 5 yrs. Stayed in this same unit the 1st yr. Unique location with water on 3 sides of property. Secluded yet close to restaurants, groc stores and shops. We knew the décor of the unit was dated and we have no problem with that given the other pluses such as the great view yet cheaper that a beach front unit. It's right next to pool, grills, etc. Unit has lots of kitchen & dining supplies. Unit needs some handyman work though. The problems were defects like vertical blinds not working well, kitchen drawer face coming off and pantry/laundry room's bi-fold door with bad track (it wasn't much better 4 yrs ago), we had to remove it for our use. Foyer flood light out, and with no light just outside front door that's recessed from the bldg. hallway we couldn't see in the front closet with the beach supplies without a flashlight. Will probably go for a different unit in same or nearby bldg. next time.

  Land's End is a perfect location for a quiet, family getaway. We felt safe letting the kids walk around within the gated community and loved being on the end of the island with the boardwalk around the property. It's centrally located so we were able to spend part of our time in Clearwater and part in Ft. De Soto without having too long a drive and St. Pete is just around the corner! The pool was nice and spacious and there were plenty of places to fish. The condo was absolutely spotless, but very dated. It is very 1980's decor, flooring and cabinetry. For the price, with the location, it was a good rental choice for us, but I would prefer a more updated interior next time. Resort Rentals was fabulous to work with - the rental process was flawless!

  There were a few things that needed attention. The screen sliders didn't slide well in the living and guest rooms. It was almost like some not thoughtful guest had bent the track. The tracks did need a good cleaning and oiling. The screens have not been put on properly anyway, they are on the wrong track. A brand new TV had been put in the master bedroom, but when running the wire the edge of the carpet was left without anything to hold it down. The vacuum loves things like that. The view is spectacular, the dining table is larger than some which is wonderful, the balcony is a delight with a table large enough for guests. Each room has a TV if that is what you choose to do. The rental company does everything in their power to make sure your stay is great. We love it there, but do wish they would renovate some. We have been staying there for 10 or more years. We do wish other renters would be thoughtful of someone else's property.

  My family enjoyed our vacation stay overall as indicated in my survey. This was our first trip to Lands End. Our only complaint for this stay was that some of the Lands End staff were pretty edgy. I understand there is a need for rules while using someone else's place and around the pool. One of the staff members was very rude to a kid that was throwing a soft inflated rubber ball(about the size of a softball). It wasn't hurting anyone but there is a rule for it. I guess just kindly reminding the child that they aren't supposed to that wouldve been nice as opposed to yelling at him. If it were my child he was talking too like that I wouldve had a serious problem with it. With the cost to stay at these places I can't imagine you're getting a lot of trashy families there. Anyway just an observation and maybe a reminder that you can deal with situations curteously and still get your point across.

  This is our 12th year in a row to visit land's end. Land's end is the perfect get away spot. Once you visit you will never go anywhere else. Perfect for young kids, teenagers and adults. You don't have to worry about the spring break crazy junk. The crazy SB atmosphere just doesn't work at Land's End. Quiet, peaceful, beautiful and relaxing. Our unit this year was the oldest we have stayed in and had not been upgraded in years...and we still loved it.

  We had a wonderful family vacation! A week on the beach - sun- relaxation! The unit's appliances were a little outdated, but functional and very clean! We did not have a run in with the "Pool Natzie" but only went to the pool once at 10pm. The other guests were very friendly and my children and great fun with the other children vacationing too. We will be returning next year!

  Our family had a marvelous time at Lands End on Treasure Island. When we had a low-key but necessary repair in one of the bathrooms, the Resort Rental folks sent someone out pronto. The location was private yet very close to some amazing restaurants and activities.

  Great location, beautiful, peaceful. We rented 4 units total for the week for a family gathering. Everyone in the group was very pleased.
  Nice pool, volley ball game area, BBQ and picnic area. We enjoyed the boardwalk and fishing pier as well. All four units had different views and decor. Everyone was pleased with their unit. Gated resort, safer for children. Great outdoor dining with live music minutes away. Protected area for Black Skimmers and Least terns nesting on the beach. Fun to watch them. Spotted manatees and dolphins in the intercoastal. Breezes from the gulf made the heat and humidity less an issue during the midday. Nice lighted tennis courts as well. Great destination resort. We rarely left the area.

  I did not believe when I first read it, but I experience it first hand. The complex spends money to make sure that no one under the age of 17 enters the hot tub and there is no horseplay in the pool. I was in the pool with my two years old and throwing her in the air and catching her in the pool. Pretty subdued activity! The pool attendant came over and said I could not do it. I said "Really" and he said yes.

  Had a great stay in Lands End. Owners made some upgrades this year. Thanks for the king size bed, new TV's, bedroom furniture, etc. They still have a ways to go doing upgrades, but the location is the best. You can't beat it.

  This was our 5th or 6th time staying at Lands End over the week between Christmas and New year and we had a wonderful time, as usual. Overall the unit was satisfactory. It could use some updating, obviously, as the kitchen and baths are original and in need of it desperately and the master bath could have used a detailed cleaning. I do think for what you pay that things like dishwashing/dishwasher soap, paper towels, garbage bags, tissues and toilet paper should be included. What a pain to have to go out and buy it all. Other than that, and the overly stict pool and hot tub rules, we all had a great time and the kids stayed busy on the beach, in the pool, playing ping pong and shuffleboard. Lots of good restaurants in the area, too!

  Most vacation properties in that area are just off the busy main ocean highway, this place is just slightly off the beaten path behind a security gate. You have the channel on 2 sides and the gulf on the other. This is one of my favorite places to stay in Florida and I will defiately be back again.
