Located on the #1 rated Sunset Beach, The Sunset Beach House is a totally unique, oceanfront oasis. Resting on 100 feet of private coastline, every residence features lanais and balconies overlooking historic Sunset Beach. In October 2020, the entire property was renovated and reimagined as Treasure Island’s only truly boutique experience. New sand, landscaping additions, exterior showers for every unit, two new gas grills, and complimentary paddle boards have been added to the already spectacular grounds. The property lends itself perfectly to gatherings, family reunions, and most notably, one of a kind beach weddings and receptions. The yard comfortably accommodates up to 100 guests.

The property comprises the historic main house, three beach bungalows, and 10,000 square feet of a white, sand backyard. The house is available as a 3 bedroom home that can sleep 16 people, and can also be split into two residences for smaller groups. While the interiors include modern conveniences like complimentary wi-fi and state of the art televisions and appliances, the grounds promote the peaceful enjoyment of your private retreat. In addition to the freshly laid sand and landscaping, you will find plenty of lounge chairs, adirondack chairs, outdoor dining spaces, and a beach front deck designed to watch the perfect sunsets Sunset Beach is famous for. The yard has plenty of light and shade, and offers both a private beach experience as well as a nestled reprieve from the sun. Enjoy your morning coffee, or rest under the palms and pine trees.

The Sunset Beach House has long been a destination for weddings, retreats, and other gatherings. We welcome private event inquiries, and can even provide a list of preferred wedding vendors to help get you started. Please contact the management office for more information. If you plan to use the property as a wedding or event venue, you are required to rent the entire property. If you're renting one of the Suites or the 3BR Main Home only, events/weddings aren't permitted at the property. Please contact our office for more information.

  A much needed getaway. Wanted beachfront and this was great. A ways to the water, but sand right to the patio and privacy afforded by the row of grasses. Plenty of chairs and tables around the area.
  Was a bit surprised that some staples weren’t included.....salt and pepper, liquid dish soap.
  Overall a great place to spend a few days. Out of the hustle and bustle, but close enough to everything by car in just a few minutes.

  The room at Beach Hugger was clean and comfortable. It was lovely getting to sit on the patio and read in the morning with my coffee and the beach was only steps away, so I took lots of beach walks and loved watching the sun set just steps from my front door.

  I love this property! The back patio right on the sand. The feeling of being away from everything yet do conveniently located so grocery shopping and restaurants. The quiet and relaxing atmosphere is the best.
  The huggers are small and my favorite one is Hugger 1. It has some quirks and needs some more updating but it’s clean and though small, I find it comfortable.

  I’ve stayed at the Sunset Beach House a couple of times a year since 2016. This property is an oasis, close to conveniences but offers a quiet old Florida atmosphere & escape. Shaded, peaceful, private... It’s beautiful. I’ve only stayed in the house and wanted to try a “hugger”. There are three of these small quaint attached beach bungalows. I choose Hugger 1 because it was on the far end and to me it is the most private. I love that I can park right in front of my door, walk in and through the hall into its cozy living space then step out the back door to a decked patio & the welcoming sand. The deck has a small table and a larger round table for seating. ( I brought an extra beach umbrella for the patio table) beyond the deck is a wide sandy area nestled amongst Australian pines & coconut palms. There’s are plenty of chairs for lounging and sitting, picnic tables & outdoor grill. A small path through the sea oats that provide a border and barrier lead you down to the beach & awaiting waves. It’s lovely. The property is everything I look for when staying on the beach. Hugger 1 is charming. It’s small but perfect for two people & will accommodate 4. The dining table is very small & tucked under the window in the corner of the small kitchen.
  You have everything you need to prepare meals. I cook and don’t generally eat out but maybe once when I’m at the beach so I appreciate that the kitchen has the necessary pots & pans. A negative would be there isn’t much counter space but I knew that would be the case before renting based on the description on line. There were a couple of wash rags & dish towels but no pot holders. I ended up using a wash cloth to take hot pans from the oven. Other conveniences missing were a blow dryer & an ironing board. A quick call to the office will rectify that.
